SUMMARY
NAYA JEEVAN (www.njfk.org) commits to alleviate generational poverty and rejuvenate the lives of 100,000 low-income families (500,000 lives) in Pakistan and India by 2015 by providing them with affordable access to quality, catastrophic health care. Through a novel 'micro'-insurance plan, Naya Jeevan will leverage Corporate/SME/NGO partnerships, collective social responsibility, a unique cost-sharing model and novel distribution channels to access and empower household staff (drivers, cooks, maids, guards, etc. and their families) working for corporate officers/managers as well as low-income corporate employees and contract workers (e.g. factory/construction workers, waiters, teachers, etc.). Essential value-added services such as primary/preventive healthcare education, workshops on sanitation, hygiene, environmental protection, customer relationship management, and relevant skill development/vocational training are intended to UNITE (Universalize, Innovate, Transform and Empower) low-income families across the emerging world.

As part of this commitment, NAYA JEEVAN plans to reach out to 25-30 Multinational corporate partners per year and encourage them to: (i) enroll their low-income permanent staff/contract labor force into the NAYA JEEVAN health plan and (ii) financially incent their officers/managers to enrol their own household staff (drivers, cooks, maids, guards, etc. and their spouse/children into the health plan). BACKGROUND
99.3% of Indians & Pakistanis are currently excluded from a high quality, private health insurance system accessible only to the corporate-affiliated elite. Catastrophic medical expenses (e.g. heart attacks, life-threatening pregnancy complications, trauma, etc.) are routinely paid out-of-pocket and impose an unbearable financial burden on low-income families, leading to the following social malaise: (i) children removed from school and plunged into the child labor market, (ii) vulnerability to child/sexual abuse, prostitution, IV drug abuse, HIV/AIDS, (iii) financial illiteracy, and (iv) generational poverty. By providing these low-income families with this umbrella of social protection, NAYA JEEVAN aims to raise the overall human capital in Pakistan and India followed by other emerging countries in the developing world.

PARTNERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
SEEKING: financial assistance, implementing partners, best practice information, media and marketing opportunities. (i) Multinational Corporations who will use their distribution channels to cascade our NAYA JEEVAN health plan to their own officers/managers to enrol their domestic staff (ii) Media groups that will provide subsidized/pro-bono air-time/print space to raise community awareness in the US and South Asia about the opportunity to provide this benefit to commercially 'uninsurable' individuals (disabled persons, congenitally deformed babies, etc.)
